Why are the indian cricket fans fanatics/hooligans?

I see this everytime when something "not wanted" happens in Indian cricket. The reactions of the indian cricket fickle (so called) fans are like that of the hooligans. They burn the effigies, destroy the buildings of the cricketers, stage death scenes, cremation, etc the aftermath seems so disgusting. It is so hurting at times to see that these humans turn into animals when reality strikes.
The latest to add to these idiotic happenings, some of ganguly's fans have blocked rail tracks.

I really can't understand why these ppl react in such idiotic ways? Burning of effigies is equivalent to wanting the death of someone isn't it? Why are we indians so pathetic?
