Big B to earn 2.25 crore per episode for Bigg Boss 3

Amitabh Bachchan will be paid Rs 2.25 crore per episode of Bigg Boss 3.Though Bigg Boss 3 will have 84 episodes, Bachchan will appear only once a week. But he will also be required for special shows like those involving wild card entries. Thus, his total earningsare likely to be between Rs30 crore and Rs40 crore.

Previously, it was said that he would be paid Rs 1.25 crore per episode but later he was signed at the big amount.Negotiations started with Rs 4 crore per episode and ended at about Rs 2.25 crore.The channel decided to invest big money to create maximum buzz

"Considering Bachchan's huge star status and appeal cutting across age groups, the channel is sure about the returns," the source said.

With this high amount, Amitabh Bachchan becomes the highest paid host on Indian TV, overtaking Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar who get paid Rs1 crore each per episode of 'Dus Ka Dum', ‘Panchvi Pass’ and ‘Khatron Ka Khiladi’ respectively.

When Bigg Boss first started, Arshad Warsi was the sutradhar. In the second season, it was Shilpa Shetty.

The channel is yet to zero in on the contestants of Bigg Boss 3.

Total waste of money,
First Baccha is a bad choice for the host as he is more of a fatehr figure to most of the celebs(irrespective of whoever they get in the show).
Plus he is hardy the tacky kind of person like Arshad or Shilpa to create a gossip or share a joke


Complese waste of money. And i don't think anyone deserves 2.25 crore an hour. this is bullshit. I hope the IT guys are listening(i meant income tax guys )
