i know this may sound old but lets have a sneak preview of Foobar u peeps have

currently me sticking to Foobar 0.9.1

Consumes 18MB memory (way less compared to 60MB of winamp) while in mini mode, if i disable mini foo mem usage is 5MB

hey...teach me.. how to go abt using foobar man... i got it. but its a bit alien to me
i dont have time to read up , on which plugins to use and how to customize it... though i would like it to be my player of choice.. .. so any help?

i hope u have the 0.9.1 Setup file if not go here
Choose the FULL setup from the installation Type menu of foobar setup

Next ASIO 4 all u can grab it here

once u have the basics u can change it to ur tastes by adding different plugins to it

now the plugins i have used on my foobar are as follows

Pretty Pop {the only Toaster dll i could find for 0.9.1 }

for changing the colors and fonts these is either a tab or a column for the same in File>preferences just explore

the plugins are to be extractedd in C:\program files\foobar2000\components as it is {dont drag n drop}

if u want to change the buttons just right click below the buttons in the main window of foobar then customize and click on tools>load from file and direct it to the respective .fcb file

well mine is simple. just columnsUI+azrael eats hardly 3MB

dunno..but my winamp 5.2 with enhancer uses only ~8MB.
good info never the less. maybe i'll try this out when it reaches v1 and
gets a proper interface like winamp.

ok so i got the version 0.9.4
now err. how do i get my playlist to look like that??? :-s coudlnt figure that out.. .i downloaded the blackwithered.fcs, column UI and the buttons file... . extracted em... to the components folder... now what? ... how do i figure out how to use em ??

umm better get 0.9.1 as most of the plugins arent ported as yet on 0.9.4 u can try out the column setting released for 0.9.4 @ hydrogen audio forum if u wanna edit the layout it can be done from preferences> display >column UI > layout

@Quick well foobar consumes upto 5mb provided i disable the mini view mode and the sound quality is better than winamp + plugins so its definetly worth it, the customisation part can be annoying btw theres a winamp skin also for foobar u can make ur foobar look like winamp classic ones
