Aamir is a perfectionist and he makes good movies ever since Lagaan , so I believe this one would be a good hit too , I agree there was one flop inbetween
Aamir is one of the most consistent actors of Indian cinema. I have almost seen all his films. Without doubt a great actor. What sets him apart from SRK is the variety in his roles. Where SRK does the same Lover boy role in every film , Aamir experiments, with his looks , with his style ... everything. Lets take a look at his film graph from 1992 :

Lagaan was an amazing movie and Rachel Shelley was soooo hot........... if I had any one complaint, it was the portrayal of John Company soldiers, (marching without weapons, uniforms looked like costumes, etc etc. but that's just me being picky), overall I loved this movie............

Crappy Indian remakes!!
