Two young strangers meet on a train, attraction brews in between and they get off in Vienna to spend a day together. Amidst pseudo-intellectual conversation, attraction turns into mutual love, but both must return to their Atlantic-apart destinations. They promise to meet at the same place six months later, and depart with memories that will stay with them forever. What is a day worth in a lifetime? Does attraction turn into love and obsession only to be washed away by the tidal waves of time?
Highly recommended, if you're into conversational and intelligent movies. A part of it happened to me once. Perhaps this is why I like it so. Julie Delpy is one of my favorite actresses. Ethan Hawke didn't disappoint either.
