Michael Bay confirms Transformers 3

Michael Bay has confirmed that a third instalment of his blockbuster Transformers film franchise will arrive in 2011.Although it was originally expected to be released in 2012, director Michael Bay has announced that the third installment of Transformers is on track for a premiere on July 1, 2011.

Young stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox are slated to return for the third film, which follows 2007's Transformers and this summer's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.Despite a mostly rough ride from critics, the first two films have grossed more than $1.5 billion US worldwide.

The explosion-obsessed director also reassured lead actress Megan Fox, who plays Mikaela Banes, that she is not going to be taken to the grave by a giant robot during production. However, he did say, in jest, that side effects like "mild dizziness, intense nausea, suicidal tendencies, minor chest hair growth, random internal hemorrhaging and inability to sleep" may occur.

In interviews, Fox has often mocked her participation in the lucrative franchise and was recently targeted in an open letter by several longtime Bay crew members after trashing the director-producer as "a nightmare to work for.She was also mentioned in an apparent tongue-in-cheek postscript to Bay's message.

Day one of filming was October 1.Bay said he spent the day in San Francisco and was on his way to meetings with Hasbro to talk about new characters when he wrote the brief update. Ehren Kruger, one of the writers for ROTF, is also back to write for Transformers 3.

How hot is Megan Fox in that dress............... I'll have to rewatch TF2, I didn't think they had a lead in for a third sequel, but obviously I've missed something.........
