After celebrity writer Salman Rushdie and director Paritosh Painter, gorgeous actress Riya Sen now has another ardent admirer, Khalid from Lebanon . According to media reports, the two were seen cosying up at a fashion show in Mumbai. Ask Riya about the guy and she refuses to divulge any information, but she doesn't deny her association with him either. She also says that though she has learnt to take such talks in her stride, the questions regarding her personal life still upset her. NT brings you more on this.

The grapevine has it that Khalid is associated with the fashion industry and is in Mumbai on a business trip. The two have been spotted together frequently. Quiz Riya on this and she explodes, "I am tired of answering questions about my personal life and with whom I am spending my time. I don't understand why people keep scanning my life. When my parents don't ask me for an explanation, then why are people so bothered about my personal life?"

The lady adds, "Why can’t people talk about my work?” So, which are the new projects that she’s doing? “I am so busy shuttling from one location to another and completing my films. Samir Karnik's Heroes is ready for release and I have just finished Rituparno Ghosh's Bengali film Abohoman and will soon start working on his other film Nauka Dubi. Apart from these, there are films like Paying guest, Kya fool hai hum and Zor lagaa ke… haiya!"

"Though there were other stars present, Rushdie seemed totally fascinated by Riya," says another guest present at the night club and soon Parmeshwar Godrej was introducing the writer at Riya's table.

"After some time Parmeshwar Godrej excused herself and returned to her table but Rushdie kept sitting with Riya and chatting," say our source. "Soon both got quite friendly and chatted away, mostly about fashion and films." The fact that Rushdie had seen none of Riya's films and nor had she read any of his books was no deterrent to the conversation which extended through the night. The two parted at dawn but only after exchanging numbers and fixing up to meet again in the coming week.

Riya Sen, 26, confirmed meeting Rushdie but refused to elaborate on her conversation with him. A close friend of hers however said that the actress was surprised by Rushdie's acute grasp of the latest fashion trends. "He seemed to know more about clothes than books," she reportedly told her friends.
