Stallone charged with takin banned hormone into Australia
Sydney - Australian Customs officers have charged Hollywood tough guy Sylvester Stallone over banned substances found in his luggage when he arrived at Sydney airport from the United States in February, news reports said Monday. Stallone, who arrived in Sydney to attend the local premiere of the sixth instalment of the Rocky series, will be represented by his lawyer at a hearing in a Sydney court Tuesday.
The 60-year-old star is thought to be in Thailand filming his next action movie, Rambo IV.
The banned substances are believed to be body-building drugs. When he was in Sydney Stallone told reporters the suspect chemicals were ones he had "taken for years."
At that time, members of the Stallone's entourage were seen throwing items out of the hotel window as Customs officers entered the harbourside Park Hyatt Hotel where he was staying.
Stallone was allowed to leave Australia after his private jet was searched.
