| | | | Shanghai International | The Shanghai International Circuit has hosted the Grand Prix of China since 2004. Built as a state-run enterprise, the circuit is a state-of-the-art modern facility. Looking from above, one can see that the course is laid out to resemble the first Chinese character in the word “Shanghai.” The track itself is wide, with a smooth surface, and one long straight that extends a total of 1.2km. The severe R between the first and third corners means a heavy strain on both driver and tires.
