Fuji Speedway has a significant place in Japanese motor racing. Major reconstruction was completed during early 2005, and while the newly reopened Fuji Speedway has kept its famous long home straight, the circuit has been reborn as a modern facility with the latest equipment and amenities. The second half of the course features a long series of low-speed sections, so car setup will present a challenge for the teams.
