Fantasy Cricket - Urgent Feedback

Guys Need some feedback on the FE fantasy cricket.

How do you want to play the games. The options i am detailing below:
(All matches will be part of a tournament. So that they are grouped and winner will be per tournament rather than per match, although scoreboard will be maintained per match)

• Let the users select a common team per tournament. 11 players. Give them points restriction for players they can choose. However they can substitute their players in between(5 or 6 times) - the problem with this is in larger tourneys like 3 team tournaments or worldcup there are too may teams and it will be very hard to juggle the players to maximize points. I know this is how super selector of espnstar is played but i think the level of involvement in this is low)
• Let the users select the team for fantasy league per match. Now if for this we have to choose 11 players then since the pool size is 32(2 team sizes assuming 16 member squad; and usually the pool size is 22 as we know who will play) it gets very predictable. Moreover if there is a points restrictions too in this then how many choices for different team selection will be there as from 22 if you want to select 11 and that too on points, you can imagine the choices.) So here are two sub options:
  • 11 players selection per match but no points restrictions - Again its still very predictable and although you will get 11 player selection but it won't be too much fun(or i think so)
  • the other option is to not select 11 but select 5 or maximum 6 players per match. The advantage is that we can have point restrictions here and since its 5(or 6) then the selection size is more. So teams can be unique. But this would be quite a different sort of a league as compared to leagues running around the world. We are not choosing 11 player teams in this instead a mini team.

Opinions are welcome. Remember unlike other sports, in cricket the playing 11 is usually known for teams plus there are no substitutions

Thoughts are welcome

I would like to go for an 6 member team.....
2 batsmen.....2bowlers.....1allrounder.....1wicketke eper.......that would be based on points available.

transfers/substitution would be available only during breaks & pre-match.

also only One day & T20 matches allowed. slowly we can add Tests.

the fantasy Game should be integrated to the SIM-Cricket thingy !!! (not related)

A single team shud be formed from two teams who wud be competing i.e. if INDIA vs Australia then.....the team shud be of Hayden/Sachin & Khan/Lee & Gilchrist & Symonds....sumthin like that.....

Choosing a mini team seems to be the right idea

Limited points would be already alloted for the team...... around 600 points...players who are having good record/performance in last match would be rated higher like 150 or sum thin.....then it would be totally depended upon options players would be opting for !!!

Err explain the 2 team concept : went over my head
We can use the same concept for tests also with in game subs.
About points won; i am planning offsets for that.so runs in batting paradise carry less weight than say those scored on seaming tracks.same way for bowllers.
points will b for
runs
wickets
catches
stump
team win|less weight
runout?(how to give for assists?)

see ....it would be two teams competing.....INDIA & AUSTRALIA

so a single team can comprise of 6 player total from the two teams.....so no INDIA/AUSTRALIA....it all comes down to players......

hence the team would consists of EG. 2 batsmen - Hayden, Sachin; 2 bowlers - Bret Lee, Zaheer Khan; 1 wicket keeper - Adam gilchrist; 1 All rounder - Symonds.

Got the funda ???? ditto like F1....no individual team but a team of your own from the Two actually playing teams......

no re....it wud be total chaos than........

also I would suggest you do a pilot run for the league......
then we would suggest feedback's on the same......
we can wait till tomorrow...lets see wat feedbacks we get.......
