Image Alt codes are now enabled

I have enabled via a custom code an option to add image alt codes to all externally linked images via the IMG BBCODE Tag

Earlier the plain IMG tag could support only the image URL

[IMG]http://www.funenclave.com/images/fe-logo.gif[/IMG]


But now you can OPTIONALLY add a alt code to the IMG Tag as


[IMG="FunEnclave Logo"]http://www.funenclave.com/images/fe-logo.gif[/IMG]


OR (without quote)


[IMG=FunEnclave Logo]http://www.funenclave.com/images/fe-logo.gif[/IMG]



Please note that even if you don't it will still work. However adding an alt tag is always better as it will help the image get indexed better as search engines can't recognize(and mostly ignore) images that are missing alt tags.

I decided to add on FE as there are so many image only posts here that it makes sense to have a way to define an alt tag(say in photoshoots section where the celeb name can be the alt tag) and that will help it get indexed better.

Interesting. I always wondered why google searched it based on the image name rather than description, eventually it was right
But would you want "FunEnclave" to be added as part of every alt "word" code?
