What is the problem with Fixed Width?

Dunno.. its been 6 months or more since its been slow for me. TE which is also hosted on the same server is very fast.

Its like I click a thread and it only loads after a couple of minutes and till then I'm looking at a pale blue screen

Well it takes just few seconds to load on my crap 256 kbps connection

ditto here.

the solution i have found is search for new posts.

then right click on each thread of interest and open in background tab. meanwhile do some work, while i return all threads are open

btw fixed width, i was comfortable when i was on 17inch crt, but on 19 incher lcd i feel just lost in blank spaces.

thats the reason i dont like new cricinfo either.

err when this happens,, what do you see in your browser status?
Something must be "loading" or causing the holdup.

If i can isolate that, it will help.
