 Bendtner wants to be a striker
Arsenal forward, Nicklas Bendtner wants his manager, Arsene Wenger to play him as an out-an-out striker.
The Dane was tasked with leading the line in the Champions League game against Standard Liege and he did so by scoring Arsenal's first goal.
PA reported that Bendtner is adamant his best form comes when he plays in that role.
"I think it is a short-term decision. I have spoken to the manager obviously, and he explained why he's playing me there at the moment,
"He knows as well though that my position is to play up front as a striker. That's where I prefer personally, but if I have to do a job for the team and play on the right or the left sometimes then I'm happy to do that as well.
"I like to think that the reason I scored against Standard Liege has something to do with the fact I played more centrally.
"Obviously you are closer to the goal and because of my pace I can make those runs. You can use that more up front than you can on the right."
Bendtner was rested in Arsenal's 2-0 win over West Brom in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night.

Wenger gone nuts or what???He is a striker and he plays in that position for Denmark and why he wont suit the same position @ Arsenal.It seriously looks like this is will be the last season for Wenger @ Arsenal
