Karim Benzema has received some advice from former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo - "say nothing and score goals".
The French forward confessed that he dreamt of meeting the legendary Brazil striker since he was a young child, and Ronaldo said that he has followed Benzema's progress from Brazil.
"I follow him from Brazil and I've seen that he is doing very well. Playing at this stage is wonderful," Ronaldo told the club's official website.
"You say nothing and score goals. Raul, Cristiano [Ronaldo] and Kaka will give you many balls and you have to score many goals for us all to enjoy."
Ronaldo scored 104 goals in 177 appearances for Los Merengues during a four and a half year spell at the club, and Benzema says he hopes to replicate what his Brazilian hero achieved in the famous white shirt.
"I do not play the same way, nor do I know how to do what he can do. I do not know if I can match his accomplishments, but hopefully so," Benzema stated.
Ronaldo concluded by saying that he will return to the Bernabeu in May, if Real make it to the UEFA Champions League final.
"Hopefully, Real Madrid reach the final of the Champions League. If that happens I'll be here clapping, so you have to do well," he told Benzema.
