The much awaited season of EPL begins on 11th of this month when the newly promoted club Sunderland take on their much fancied rivals Tottenham hot spurs.

While the Champs Manchester United will be on a high after winning the community shield in leading to what should be a interesting season of football. Their close rivals Chelsea are already look down with injuries to their key players, including their skipper John terry. The only silver lining for chelsea was the mercurial Dedier Drogba scored over 30 goals to become the highest goal scorer of last season. It would how ever be foolish to expect him to repeat this performance this season.

ManU have signed some big players including Nani, Tavez and Owen Hargreaves, which would power their already star studded forward line up. The midfield would be powered by the Portugese midfileder Ciristiano Ronaldo who had a amazing last season.

BTW guys the first match of the season itself was an upset with Sunderland lead be Roy keane defeated highly rated Spurs. The match was decided on a last minute strike by Micheal chopra, who came in as a substitute for Anthony Stokes.

Liverpool, Newcastle and manchester city also won their games to register their first points of the season. Liverpool playing away from home at Villa park had a tricky game to start off the season, but the reds were too gud for villans as they lost 2-1. 87 mins into the season is all it took for Steven gerrard to register his name in the scoring sheets. The goal came in after the Gareth Barry's penalty in the 85th min went past Reina that came in as a equaliser. Earlier it was a own goal by Martin Laursen that gave Reds their lead.
