Hosts India opened their campaign in the five-nation Nehru Cup football tournament with a 6-0 demolition of Cambodia here on Friday.

Steven Dias and Sunil Chetri scored two goals each and Pappachan Pradeep and Baichung Bhutia also found the net as India toyed with the inexperienced Cambodians at the Ambedkar stadium.

The Indians, who led 2-0 at half-time, pumped in three goals in the last seven minutes to seal an emphatic win.
