Michael Owen has a personal aim that coincides with one of Manchester United’s objectives this season: Win the Premier League title.
Owen is desperate to win the first title-winners' medal in his 14-year career.
"It is something I think about a lot," he said.
The 29-year-old is currently working towards that dream, and featured for the Red Devils in his 17th appearance of the season as they beat Everton 3-0.
The victory kept United hot on the heels of Chelsea, who thumped Wolves earlier on Saturday.
Owen came close to lifting the BPL title in 2002, when his Liverpool side finished just behind Arsenal.
A shock free transfer in the offseason after his Newcastle deal ended, Owen told United's website, Manchester United Official Web Site, he now hopes he can realize his primary ambition during his stint with the Red Devils.
He said: "When I was first asked to sign for Manchester United I went to bed thinking about what it would feel like to join a new club and meet new staff and new players.
"Playing under Sir Alex Ferguson was also a big attraction and I thought about how good it would feel to run out every week at Old Trafford and play in front of so many people.
"But the big thing for me was the chance to win honours. Manchester United are such a great club and I would love to be part of a league-winning team."
