Francesco Totti was ecstatic, as he penned a contract extension that will most likely see him end his career at AS Roma.
Totti has been the star player for the Roman club for years and now that he is 33 years of age, he seems to be determined to end his illustrious career as a one-club man.
Speaking on his official website, Totti said: "Signing this contract was the realization of a dream,
"I am Giallorosso inside and Roma for life. I always knew it and always craved it.
"I would like to thank the Sensi family who have been close to me throughout, even during the most difficult times.
"There was a time when someone would have wanted to see me away from this city and away from this team. But Franco was always with me, like a second father. And I will never forget this."
The deal also includes a five-year agreement for Totti to take up a director role at the club after he hangs up his boots.
