Rep Power: 23 Nickels: 752.16 Bank: 40,000.00 | | Re: Transfer news and Rumours: 2009-10 Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o demanded an astounding 12 million euros a year from Manchester City.
Should he get it, Cameroonian star would become the richest player in the Premier League.
Eto'o knows City's oil-rich owner Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan wants a superstar to drive their Champions League ambitions, News of the World reports.
This follows a week after Real Madrid's signing of two world-record transfer fees for Kaka and Cristiano Ronaldo.
At a staggering 200,000 pounds a week, a five-year contract will set Sheikh Mansour back by 51 million pounds.
Earlier, Manchester United, Liverpool and Inter Milan had inquired about the striker's services and all were quoted the same wages.
The player's reasoning is based on being out of contract at Barcelona next summer and being available on a free transfer. (ANI)

"Glen's had a fantastic season for us and I think he's the best right-back in the country at the moment.
"I've know Glen a long while, from my West Ham days. When I re-signed him (at Portsmouth) we talked things over.
"He said, 'If one of the big four come in with Champions League football, would you stand in my way?''
"I told him I couldn't do that. Providing the deal is right for Portsmouth and Glen then we'll look to try and do something in the right way. It's very hard to try and hold people back when they've a chance to play in the Champions League. I accept that." Executive chairman Peter Storrie

The news comes after the European champions saw their contract talks with current number one Victor Valdes break down.
Valdes, who has a year left on his contract, has been pushing for parity with Xavi, who is paid 150,000 pounds a week.
Barcelona is confident they can lure back the Anfield stopper, who began his career at the Nou Camp.
Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has personally recommended Reina, whose father played for Barca, to his board after losing patience with Valdes.
Barcelona will sell Valdes now rather than give in to his demands or allow him to leave as a free agent next summer, The Sun reports.
Reina cost Liverpool six million pounds when Rafa Benitez signed him in 2005. But his value has rocketed after four impressive seasons at Liverpool, where he has become the fans’ favourite.
Reina, 26, spent the first two years of his career at Barcelona and played 30 games for the club before moving to Villarreal in 2002.
He still has strong ties with the club through his father, Miguel, who lives in the city.

Ribery is the primary target of several EPL teams like Manchester United and Chelsea, even Barcelona had articulated desire to bag the French footballer.
“We're completely relaxed and proud to have one of the three greatest players in the world who's attracting so much interest in the transfer market. We're approaching it calmly because we're the ones who have the power to make the decision,” The Sun quoted Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, as saying.
Real Madrid is determined to add Ribery to the 62 million pound capture of Kaka from AC Milan and the impending 80 million pound arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.
Real had secured a 70 million pound loan from Spanish bank Caja Madrid on Tuesday for this purpose.

The Red Devils have agreed the 26 million pounds asking price to make the Argentinean striker's loan move permanent. But they have still to match the personal terms of 110,000 pounds a week that stars Rio Ferdinand and Dimitar Berbatov earn.
Tevez, 25, has been on 95,000 pounds a week since joining Sir Alex Ferguson's side but his loan ends at the end of this month, The Sun reports.
He is on holiday in Buenos Aires where he has also been contacted directly by new Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti. Tevez is impressed with new Blues' boss Ancelotti's personal approach.
Manchester City are also interested in grabbing the striker as boss Mark Hughes bids to build a team capable of giving the Premier League's big four a tough fight.
Tevez was frustrated with the Red Devils last season for leaving him in the dark over his future. Now the player and his agent and co-owner Kia Joorabchian are happy to keep them waiting on their decision. (ANI)

Rep Power: 23 Nickels: 752.16 Bank: 40,000.00 | | Re: Transfer news and Rumours: 2009-10 Gennaro Gattuso has hinted he could be interested in a reunion with manager Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea.
The Italy international's agent, Andrea D'Amico, recently revealed his client's 'distress' at Ancelotti's move to Stamford Bridge.
D'Amico, though, insisted that tough-tackling Gattuso, who joined Milan in 1999, did not want to bring to an end his time at the San Siro.
But Gattuso has now indicated that, despite having two years remaining on this contract with the Serie A giants, he could be interested in a switch to England.
"I like the Premier League. The Premier League is the best league for me, for my characteristics," he said in the Daily Mirror.
"I don't know what will happen. I have been at AC Milan a long time and it's not easy to go away, but we'll have to see.
"Chelsea are a big, big team but working with Ancelotti is a good feeling. We have worked together for eight years and he is for me a second father.
"He is a great person, and a great manager."
