Rep Power: 23 Nickels: 12,190.32 Bank: 12,857.97 | | United consider Ribery move Manchester United have made a preliminary enquiry concerning the availability of Franck Ribery, according to Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness.
The France forward has seen his star rise on the back of an impressive season in the Bundesliga and has already been linked with big-money summer moves to both Barcelona and AC Milan.
But Hoeness claims United could also be in the frame to sign the former Marseille star, should Cristiano Ronaldo finally move on to long-time admirers Real Madrid this summer.
However, Hoeness has waned any potential suitors that it will take a massive transfer fee to persuade Bayern to sell their prize asset.
"I would really not even answer the phone if the amount would just be £34million," Hoeness told Sport Bild.
"There was a casual request from Man Utd. But then it depends on Cristiano Ronaldo."

Rep Power: 23 Nickels: 498.16 Bank: 40,000.00 | | Ronaldo future uncertain again Cristiano Ronaldo has once again clouded his future by refusing to confirm that he will be a Manchester United player next season.
The Old Trafford favourite's latest outburst comes after he appeared to be at loggerheads with the United hierarchy following the club's 2-0 Champions League final defeat to Barcelona on Wednesday, a defeat the 24-year-old blamed on the tactics employed by Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson during the showcase event.
With the dust settling on United's comprehensive defeat to a rampant Barca, Ronaldo, who last summer came close to joining Spanish giants Real Madrid, has now claimed he does not know what the future holds for him and that he is solely concentrating on Portugal's World Cup qualifier against Albania on June 6.
"I don't want to talk about clubs. I want to rest and to go on holidays because I am very tired," he said.
"I've played many games under a lot of pressure. The future? We'll see. My future for now is the national team. We must win to be back on track in the World Cup."
Throughout Wednesday's showdown in Rome, Ronaldo looked a frustrated individual and one who was far from happy with life, none more so than when he watched Barca lift the Champions League trophy.
Ronaldo's refusal to confirm or deny that he wants out of Old Trafford is sure to annoy the recently crowned English champions, especially given that only last week their prized asset seemed set to stay in Manchester for the foreseeable future.
"Manchester United is my home. My heart is here. This is where I want to play," Ronaldo explained.
"The boss (Sir Alex Ferguson) believes in this team and so do I. Ever since I joined United he has been like a second father to me.
"This is my home now. I think even when I say my heart is here people are going to speak up and make things up. But this is where I want to play.
"We are part of an era that can go down in history for the way we are playing and for the trophies we are winning.
"The boss believes in this team and so do I. And this is where I want to be. Manchester United is now my house."

Rep Power: 23 Nickels: 498.16 Bank: 40,000.00 | | Re: Ronaldo future uncertain again Ronaldo started the match up front before moving out to the wing and the United ace felt 'everything went wrong'.
Talking to RTP the Portugese star said "I cannot explain. We, the players, were not well, the tactics were not good... everything went wrong.
"We have to give credit to Barcelona, but they were a bit lucky to be here because Chelsea did not deserve to lose and no-one has mentioned that.
"I have to congratulate Barcelona, they were better, but football is just like this: only the winners get talked about."
The former Sporting Lisbon man also refused to comment on his future amid fresh reports linking Real Madrid with a renewed interest in his services.
He added: "My future now is the national squad, so that we can win, so that we can be in a good position in our qualifying group.
"About clubs, I do not want to talk about that, I want to rest, go on holiday, I am very tired, I have played a lot of games, a lot of pressure.
"The future, we will see."
Such a response is sure to re-ignite the issue of Ronaldo's future - with Real Madrid and Florentino Perez confirmed admirers of the temperamental star and the likely beneficiaries of any fall-out between the winger and Sir Alex Ferguson.

Rep Power: 23 Nickels: 498.16 Bank: 40,000.00 | | Real Madrid zero in on David Silva Florentino Perez has declared that Valencia’s David Silva is his number one target for Real Madrid this offseason.
Silva is the perfect transfer acquisition for Perez as he is young, Spanish, a current international for the national side, and has talent in abundance.
The potential president for Los Blancos has already kicked off talks with Valencia, and while he has not struck an agreement with Los Che, he is confident that things will work out in Real's favour.
Valencia are in trouble financially, having failed to make it for the Champions League, and will have to sell assets to balance the books.
However, Los Merengues will have rivals for Silva's signature. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have registered their interest, while Juventus had a €20 million bid rejected earlier this year. Liverpool are said to be monitoring the situation as well.
Silva has reiterated his desire to stay at Valencia and that could quash any deal from being made.

Rep Power: 23 Nickels: 498.16 Bank: 40,000.00 | | Pellegrini favourite for Real hot seat Manuel Pellegrini has been installed as the hot favourite to replace Juande Ramos if Florentino Perez wins the presidential elections.
According to AS, Pellegrini was considered to lack star power, but Perez's associate, Jorge Valdano, championed the Chilean as the new Arsene Wenger.
Valdano has already had discussions on the topic of a new head coach with Perez, trying to win him over with the virtues of Pellegrini.
Perez is desperate to lure Wenger away from Arsenal, but he knows that the Frenchman is keen to stay in north London.
Pellegrini has been touted as Wenger's replacement in Perez's faction. Meanwhile, the press have speculated that many star coaches may be tempted by the challenge of waking the slumbering giant. Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti and Michael Laudrup have been named as potential successors, but none of them seem to be interested in the role.
Perez wants to the coaching seat filled before the election so that he can use the name to promote his ideals for the club.
