guess its just sensationalism by media. i saw a interview on f1 live and was surprised by his maturity .. wonder who wrote the script for that

and the pitstop debacle and him "checking if the right tyres were on" makes me wonder if hes turning into another schumi

Well Mclaren will do well to acommodate Alonso. Every driver has his whims, and as far as possible if some cookies would please him Mclaren should do it. At the end of the day Mclaren needs Alonso for the points and for being a fighter. Ron might have run Mclaren as well for 25years but change is necessary to face newer situations. And renault will grab Alonso in no time and Mclaren will only kick themselves next season
Mclaren have had Senna n Prost before n tons of problems with 2 highly competitive drivers....so i am pretty sure Ron Dennis knows how to run a team with 2 competitive drivers....

so its pretty lame to expect Ron Dennis to make expections in the way he runs his team just so that Alfonso can remain in the team...
If the team believes that their job is give equal opportunities to their drivers and its upto the drivers to make the most of it.....whats wrong in that??

Alonso is simply threatened by the immense talent of Lewis Hamilton....i guess he never expected things to pan out this way....earlier in the season when Hamilton was scoring points but not winning the races Alonso was pretty content but now that Hamilton has started winning races n leading the world championship...has the cry baby Afonso all scared....
This attituted for sure isnt that of a 'fighter' or a 'champion'....is that of a man who is scared and a is a whinner.....

thats your take on it.
he is coming in as a world champion and a double world champion at that. He doesn't need to proove anything to anyone least of all to Mclaren. If Hamilton has done well its great. He is an amazing talent. If Alonso wants to beat him thats even better for Mclaren. Every team gives some advantages to a prooven champion and if Alonso is asking for it, i don't see that as anything wrong. Every F1 team does it, ferrari did it all the time with schumi. You guys are whining just for the sake of it

As far as Ron goes, exactly, Ron should know how to deal with two champion drivers.

anyways, coming back to the topic (though I dunno where its heading), I think its Alonso who wants to leave McLaren and not the other way round. Alonso refuses to accept that he has finally met his match. Someone who can match him for brilliance in the same car every race and even surpass it on occasions. Thats too hard to digest for any world champion and Alonso is no exception.

As for Ron's driver management capabilities, we've already seen that many times this year. The less said about it, the better. He's thinking about retirement and its absolutely the right time.

well first things first...we rnt whinning....its Alfonso who is whinning

well if Alfonso wants to beat Hamilton on the track thats a very good thing...its always good to watch an intense battle on the track...but its the whinning n cribbing abt the team that brrings bad rep to Alfonso....

He accused Renault of not helping him....then he says Mclaren favours Hamilton....thats pretty stupid by any standards...

Also being a world champion or a double world doesnt neccesarily warrant special treatment....remember Williams didnt renew their contract with Damon Hill even after he won the world championship...he had to go to Arrows Yamaha!

No one is whining here apart from Cybaby.

I have no problems with either method (giving equal importance to both members or giving one guy more impotance).

But the fact is McLaren have always played fair. This has been the case for many many years... Crybaby knew that he could not expect any preferential treatment.

If drivers like Prost and Senna could not get special treatment, I dont think why Crybaby should ask for it.

Schumi said in an interview a few years ago that one of the reasons he didnt go to McLaren was because of their attitude.

I am not saying this is right or wrong. Each has it's own disadvantages and advantages.... but in the end, Crybaby made the decision. He should have thought abt this before.

It was his arrogance that he thought a rookie could not beat him.... serves him right.

Well Alonso thinks in some way and he has all right to say it. This is not whining.
As alonso said Hamilton had some luck going his way too (and wait someone among you acknowledged that too last race ) Alonso is no way inferior to Hamilton if some one is saying that, then its plain foolishness. At the end of the day Alonso might still win this year.

Anyway am not gonna criticize alonso as long as he is winning. If he was talking through his hat and then crashing out every race, i would have said kick him but he is second in the championship and thats what matters. Mclaren should know who is an asset rather than changing him with another idiot who talks and fails to do anything. They might still do it(i am not too sure about ron, it will be a loss for Mclaren)

@Apex am not going into a Kimi discussion. Kimi never has been able to make the best of his chances. Bad luck follows him and thats as much due to his own aggressiveness (a fault btw of our own Narain too,,remember his aggressive driving on the jordan, you can't blame the car if you push it and you know it can't take it,)(why i used the word, remember that last lap when his tyres had gone bald and he was flying and in the end got out with a burst tyre on the last lap. He could have actually slowed down and instead taken 3rd rather than 1st. He is as much at fault than his team, whether it was mclaren or Ferrari.)

How can a driver be an asset to a team when he is creating a bad atmosphere within the team??
If you ask any team principal...the constructors championship matters more than the drivers to them....and to win the constructors championship you need a well oiled team which includes 2 drivers who are in harmony with the team...

you cant win the constructors championship esp when a driver is tryin to impede the progress of his very own team-mate....

lol why ca't you understand a basic point you can't win a constructors championship if your driver doesn't score points.
To win you need winners who score points. Everything else is secondary. and should be managed. Thats what team managers are there for.

You and me sitting here can't tell who is creating a bad atmosphere btw. Hopefully Mclaren can sort it out.
