Bahrain Grand Prix 2008
Robert Kubica produced a stunning final lap to score both his and BMW Sauber's first ever pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Pole had been threatening to beat the form man at Sakhir so far, Ferrari's Felipe Massa, to the top spot throughout Q3 and duly did so with a final effort of 1m33.096s.
Massa, who had been a class apart during the first two sessions, tried to respond on his own final tour, but a poor middle sector meant he couldn't beat the Pole's time and he will start second.
McLaren hadn't looked likely to challenge for the front row, but Lewis Hamilton will still start third ahead of the second Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen on the second row.
Heikki Kovalainen qualified fifth, ahead of BMW's Nick Heidfeld, the Toyota of Jarno Trulli and Williams' Nico Rosberg.
Jenson Button gave Honda its first Q3 slot of the year and went on to beat Fernando Alonso's Renault to ninth on the grid.

Yeah.... but I dont think they'll disappear. they'll fight to the end.
And Massa is going to rule tomorrow. Unless he screws it up himself. He has got the perfect setup for tomorrow. It's upto him to make sure he doesnt mess it up.
Kubica will slide down to 4th or 5th for sure. Unless he can find something to keep Heikki behind him.
I am underestimating Heikki here. He could spring a surprise.

Re: Bahrain Grand Prix 2008
Massa has been good for Qualifying ever since Schumi days
BMW is surely going after lap 10 (i toh think after lap 7-8) and then it will just play in midfield at 4-5th position..
If Kimi manages to get past Hamilton in the 1st corner, which is not a joke as we all know what type of starts Kimi takes.. then theres a chance of Ferrari 1-2 with chance of either of those @P1

Good windy conditions out there, looks like sand will blow onto the track and hopefully take Massa with them
