Bernie warns Ferrari: Quit and I'll sue Bernie Ecclestone has warned Ferrari that should they pull out of Formula One they could face legal action for breach of contract.
Earlier this week during Ferrari's own legal action against the FIA over the planned 2010 budget cap, a French court ruled that an agreement is already in place between the Italian marque, Ecclestone and the FIA. And that agreement clearly states that Ferrari are contracted to race in Formula One next season.
And as such Ecclestone has warned the Scuderia that if they follow through on their threat to quit Formula One, they could face legal action.
"We would always respect our contracts," the F1 supremo told The Times.
"And all the teams that have signed contracts with us would expect us to respect them, and we would expect the same from Ferrari. They are saying they are going to walk, we are saying we hope they respect their contract." ---------------------------------------------- |
