yeah...epic driving by the epic idiot as well. u can say kimi got a dose of his own medicine but there were obvious differences between the two incidents. i'd be surprised if lewis gets away without a penalty but then maybe i wudn't, afterall lewis is the new goldenboy of f1, another legendary senna or schumi in the making.

Re: Canadian Grand Prix 2008
I am pretty sure Hamilton did it on purpose
Hamilton appeared to have turned to avoid Kubica’s car and hit Raikkonen’s instead. It probably was been that he was trying to avoid the pair of them.
But the less charitable will suggest that, faced with the inevitability of hitting either car, he preferred to take out the driver who was his more likely championship rival.
Afterwards Hamilton said he’d seen the red light but didn’t manage to stop his car in time.
The stewards are going to investigate the collision after the race.
No harm taking your championship rival with you, Atleast when he can't complain about it too

Re: Canadian Grand Prix 2008

Sure Kimi's case was different but the fact was that the guy was overtaking Sutil over a wet path(or trying to anyway,) and at the end Sutil won't get the chance to be in that kind of position ever (Not this year atleast )
And Kimi gets away clean.
Having said all that Ham deserved it. Imo if he could just have kept his big mouth shut. What was the need to say he saw the red light and still couldn't stop in time
Fool will learn the hard way.

Re: Canadian Grand Prix 2008
Hamilton What was he thinking.
Anyway wonderful race from Kubica, and equally good race by massa. The maneuver in which he over took both Kovelienien was a treat to watch.

Re: Canadian Grand Prix 2008
Hahahaha. I saw the race for about 15 mins only. I switched it on when Sutil's brakes were literally on fire and then managed to catch Mr Hamilton immitate what Kimi had done in the last race LMAO it was hilarious!!
Esp when Kimi pointed out to the signal on the pit exit
I also managed to see that Massa re-entered the pits for a fuel only stop. I guess they didnt quite get enough fuel in his car the first time around or something.

Re: Canadian Grand Prix 2008
Hamilton said: "I was trying to be cautious. I looked at the red light and I looked back and they'd stopped.
"There were two cars side by side. If they'd been in a line I would have seen it a bit faster."
Raikkonen was not impressed.
"I saw a red light and chose to stop, someone else saw a red light and chose not to," he said.
