Massa was fastest and Kimi was second in the Friday practice session.
They seem to have sent out a formidable warning to the rest of the grid.
And, Lewis Hamilton impressed everyone by beating his more experienced World Championship holder team mate Alonso to finish 3rd.
Alonso was lower down the order in 7th.
Fisichella was 4th and Heidfeld in the BMW was 5th. The BMW looks impressive.
