Re: India F1= 2009...?
navi mumbai was a planned city... ofcourse its better then mumbai... but the govt needs to keep developing... planned cities can take the brunt of the population that mumbai handles..and do not worry navi mumbai would def become crowded..but i'm hoping it would all be managed in far better manner.
PS - isnt navi mumbai asia'a biggest planned city??(or something else, i know it holds some record or something..)

Re: India F1= 2009...?
yes.. its the largest in the world.. india should go make more planned cities ... or plan out the towns that are growing rapidly. or else... everyone's gonna face the same problem without any solution.

What is the point ??? First, improve the basic infrastructure to the people who need.
Roti, kapda, education aur makaan.
Make sure all people have this before thinking of pampering the rich people......

Re: India F1= 2009...?
^^ That is the definition of a planned city. One where there is sufficient infrastructure to support the residents - enough schools, hospitals, water, schools etc.
Besides, the problem with your argument is that it assumes that development is a zero sum game.

Re: India F1= 2009...?
who was thinking of pampering the rich... .. what i meant was to develop more such cities to reduce the pressure of population from the metropolitans. think of it like a buffer zone.. and if u talk about developing infrastructure, a planned city is your best bet. there is a massive difference between south mumbai and suburbs, mainly because south mumbai was planned and the suburbs weren't.
