Honda newboy Christian Klien says he can't wait to get back behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car, after spending much of this week settling into his new surroundings at Brackley.
The Austrian, who had his seat-fitting for the RA106 on Monday and met Honda president Takeo Fukai, has not driven in anger since being dropped from the Red Bull squad after the Italian Grand Prix in mid-September.
“I have very much enjoyed my first days working with the Honda team over the last week," said Klien.
"It was really interesting to visit the factory and learn how the developments for next year are coming along.
It was also a great pleasure to meet Mr Fukui so early in my time with Honda.
It’s been a lot of
fun so far but now I’m looking forward to actually getting on with testing and driving the car.”
Meanwhile Button joined world champions Sir John Surtees and Nicky Hayden for the Honda Circle Convention in London's Albert Hall on Monday night, as the Briton continued his off-season promotional tour.
More than 800 Honda representatives were in attendance for the gala event celebrating the Japanese company's motorsport achievements that featured a parade of car and motorcycle racing stars and machinery.
"I did a few interviews on stage," Jenson told his website. "There was so many Honda people there from around the world.
"There were some great sportsman there and some motorcycle legends, it was a great."
