McLaren F1 race car in Aamchi Mumbai !!

The McLaren Mercedes F1 Car tat got many many a weary commuter's heart racing outside the Churchgate station on Thursday nite is a prototype of the McLaren MP4-21(Used in the Just concluded F1 Season).

It has been brought in India by Liquor Major Diageo India Pvt Ltd,,the Indian Subsidiary of the Multinational group that owns tthe Johnnie Walker Brand,as a promotional prop for the Johnnie Walker Day Celebrations at Mahalaxmi Racecourse on December 24 & 25.It has been brougt in as the suprise element for the Johnnie Walker Race Day.

Transport of the Car was handled by WIAA & it will will remain with the WIAA until further notice for safe keeping.

Also there is no official schedule as of yet but the Car will also go to New Delhi & Bangalore after its Mumbai Stopover.Also two other cars will be arriving at Mumbai in March specifically for a FORMULA ONE Promotional event.

who wants to see a McLaren??? LMAO...talk about blow engines...i agree that the Indian roads are pathetic...but heck....a blown engine car wouldnt do no good

Bring in a Ferrari and the whole Mumbai will be there to check it out


PS: I happened to be in Churchgate for dinner with cousins last night...though I didnt see this there...Thank god i didnt

There was a Mclaren in 2005 also... at IITB's techfest. I didn't see it.

It will be the starting journey for the Johnnie Walker-McLaren Mercedes India tour & after the race ,the car will be taken around the country to various upmarket malls in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore....
Along with an F1 Car there will also be a Silver Phantom from the Rolls Royce stable will also adorn the turf on the Raceday....

The Johnnie Walker Race Day will be held on December 24, 2006
The day will see Four races:
Johnnie Walker Black
Johnnie Walker Green
Johnnie Walker Gold
and the Championship race, the Johnnie Walker Indian 2000 Guineas 2006....

Winning jockeys and owners will be rewarded trophies and prize money of over Rs 50 lakh, while women who attend the event stand a chance to win a gold bar if dressed in the brand's black and gold colours...

To top it all,you could be cruising home, minus the maddening Mumbai traffic, in your very own Bayliner Speed Boat if U predict the top four finishers of the showpiece race....


So wat U waiting for Free Ur Evenings and Head to the Racecourse on 24th....U mite just land Up goin home in a Luxury SpeedBoat instead of a Jam-Packed Local Train...
