Mark Webber is "praying" that he has finally made a switch to a team on an upward trend, after two frustrating stints with Williams and Jaguar.

The Australian has signed a two-year contract with Red Bull Racing, and with an Adrian Newey designed chassis and championship-winning Renault engines, his 2007 campaign looks strong on paper.

"There's a lot of pressure inside the team, they want to go and achieve things," Webber told Australian newspaper The Age.

"They want to make a difference next year, otherwise I wouldn't have gone there.

"Is it world-beating? Over time, it could be but I'm absolutely praying that they're going to be one of the finds of the season next year."

Webber thought he had made the big-time two years ago when he signed for Williams-BMW, but he caught the former heavyweight team on the slide, just as he did with Jaguar when Ford pulled the plug on the project.

The 30-year-old turned his back on Williams in August, having become frustrated with the lack of progress, which he admitted was a new experience for him.

"They'll have a lot better year next year - they have to because it just couldn't be any worse than this year," he said.

"Whether it's as good as they want it to be remains to be seen.

"It's never ever happened in my career before but it was tough towards the end because you felt there was not a great deal you could do to make a difference and that was hard."
