Okie. Here is what is happening. Captain is in the middle of an operation when the current goes off and the generator has to be turned on manually. But there is no time left cos life is at stake... this is when the unthinkable happens.
Lol, jokes apart, a similar incident recently happened in real life in argentina...the power went off and then the doctors operated on a guy while a family member held a few mobiles to help the doctors see in darkness n complete the task....
