Well DS Bete..i can give a fitting answer each of those 7 points u listed thr...but since Sandy has already given a dhamkee, i'll refrain from doing it here..lets carry on the argument in TE, and i'll be happy to break some of those myths which u so believe in about Linux... 
But still, i wud summarize what i have to say here in a few lines...
1. Prove it to me tht they copied Aero from leopord/berlycompiz...vista/longhorn has been too long in the making..how about saying they copied berly/compiz from Aero/leopord??
2. Every new version of any OS is old wine in new bottle..do u think any company can take a risk with its business by doing an outright radical change to the OS?? For tht matter even UBuntu feisty is old wine in new bottle..just a bit more of eye candy..thts all..
3. Vista is new at the moment..there was similar opposition for XP when it had landed in the market..but a year or so in the market and there were no problems with software compatibility or drivers.
4. You cannot make the linux desktop look as good as an XP desktop with customization...read FREE CUSTOMIZATION software...i have already tried it on my Suse 10.1 and no matter what i do, it just doesnt look as good as my customized XP desktop!!
5. You still havent found a solution to tht tty error problem of feisty!! So tht tells a lot about Ubuntu and how professional they are with the bug sorting!!  And do a google, u'll see how many ppl are suffering from tht issue...now since u are not suffering from tht issue, does not mean tht it is not there, Just Google 'Ubuntu tty error'...n wait n see the enormous flood of complaints with the same issue!!
Ubuntu cannot handle 2 sata harddrives...thts plain ridiculous!!!!  N u talk about problems on XP/Vista.... |
