I look at myself and then i think of millions of others like me who have a day job behind the desk.It doesnt matter what your field of work is, but the fact is that you remain glued to your desk for hours without shaking a leg. By the time we are finished with our work, there isnt enough energy left to exercise or do some heavy work to provide our body with that much needed work out. Slowly this routine starts to take a toll on our system, making our bones, our blood circulation and our muscles sluggish and more importantly, making our immune system weak.Thats when opportunistic diseases take control over our weakened body.

In the long term, this can lead to serious health issues which may be irreversible.So before something similar happens to you and u really care to go tht extra mile just to make sure that u live well past 60-70 in good health, without having to rely on your kids or for that matter anyone else, do take a note from these articles posted here. They may make tht little bit of difference and have a profound impact on your life. The time to act is now!

Come here everyday, read the articles posted here and try to include the workarounds given in them to make that much needed change in your life. Perform! But that is not possible without making a firm determination to stick with the rules. Discipline will see you through. All the best!

Note: The articles are mostly free and come from varied sources on the internet. But they have information that will be beneficial to all, to some degree. Do post your own articles if you feel like doing some community service for the welfare of others.

The benefits of jogging!


I remember as a kid when jogging first came into vogue. It was the thing to do. And of course, the more popular it became, the more gadgets that people had to have for their jogging routine, including the outfits, the walkmans, you name it. Even advertising latched onto the jogging craze. Just about every commercial you saw had a jogger in it. Well, jogging isn't the big craze that it once was, but the benefits of this great form of exercise are still there. That much hasn't changed. In this article, we're going to cover just some of the benefits of jogging. Hopefully, after reading this, you'll be digging into your hope chest and getting out your old walkman once again.

There are actually so many benefits to jogging that it would be impossible to list them all. At the top of the list would have to be how great jogging is for losing weight. Now, let me say right off, if you are obese, jogging is something that you want to do slowly as it can be very taxing on an extremely overweight person. But there is no better way, over time, to lose those pounds than with a good two mile jog in the park. If you're first starting out, try a mile or even a half mile. Start slow, but get started.

Another benefit to jogging is that is tones the muscles and bones. This is critical in preventing muscle and bone loss. You will find very few joggers who end up suffering from osteoporosis later on in life.

Then of course there are the cardiovascular benefits from jogging. A good jog really gets the heart pumping and the blood flowing. You won't find too many people who jog dying from heart disease or stroke. The circulatory systems are usually in tip-top shape.

But the one benefit of jogging that most people are totally unaware of is the mental benefit. Studies have shown conclusively that people who jog simply have a better outlook on life and are generally a lot happier. A lot of it has to do with the great feeling you get from getting out there and running a couple of miles. It's the sense of accomplishment that makes people feel good. I personally know that after I'm done with my morning jog (1 mile everyday) I feel like a new person. And when I can't jog outside due to the weather, I hit the treadmill downstairs and really ramp it up.

There is no question that jogging works wonders for your body and mind. Of course, before starting a jogging routine, please check with your doctor to make sure that he agrees with it.

Not that I put all that much stock in doctors.

The Healing Powers Of Water



It might surprise you that, with the odd exception, the only thing I drink is water. No coffee, no tea, no soda, no alcohol. Just plain old water. Sometimes I drink it from the tap and sometimes I'll spring for one of those fancy bottles of Poland Spring or whatever happens to be on sale. So ask me how I feel drinking nothing but water. Honestly, I feel great. Why? Well, the reasons may or may not surprise you. In this article, you'll get a few of the reasons for the healing powers of water.

You probably don't know this, but most of our body is made up of water. Actually, about 70% of our total weight is made up of water. So what do you think would happen if we stopped drinking water? Well, let's put it this way. We wouldn't exactly be in the best of health. Water literally keeps us alive. That's why you can go about a week without food but only three days without water before you cease to exist.

Think about this, if you don't think that water is critical to good health. Imagine that we have a plant in our house. Now imagine that we stop watering that plant. What do you think is going to happen to it? It's going to die, that's what. And you can pour anything else you want into that plant, unless it is pure water, that plant is still going to die, even if you give it the best herbal tea. Well, that's how important water is to us.

The number of things that water does inside our bodies is so numerous that they are beyond the scope of this article. But here are just a few of those things that most people are totally unaware of.

For starters, it gets rid of the toxins and other poisons in our bodies and passes them out through our urine. If we were to live on a diet of coffee and soda we'd eventually become gravely ill as these toxins would remain in our bodies.

Water also regulates our body temperature. Before I started drinking water regularly, my body temperature was always a little on the low side, around 96.8. Now that I drink plenty of water everyday, my body temperature is right around 98.6 consistently, and I hardly ever get a cold or run a fever.

Another thing that water does is it helps the substances that keep our cells healthy "stuck" together the way they're supposed to be. Without water, our cells will become weak. These weaknesses are the things that lead to illnesses like cancer and leukemia.

What people don't realize is that we lose about 4 liters of water each day, mostly through perspiration. Therefore, we constantly need to be replacing that water if we don't want to end up ill.

There are way more benefits to water than what I have listed here. If you can manage to drink about 6 to 8 glasses each day, you'll find a vast improvement in your health just from that alone.

The healing powers of water are indeed very real, and very powerful.
I drink 4 litres of water everyday. And yes, it surely makes me feel better!

8 Ways To Good Health!!


A number of people come to me, not with any specific ailment, but to ask simply how they can feel better. Well, the one thing I have learned over my years of battling my own health problems, that I have overcome, is that there are some very basic things you can do in order to keep in good health. I'm going to share my 8 keys to good health in this article. I have no doubt that they will help you a great deal.

The first key is the air that we breathe. Now, naturally, if we live in a polluted area, there's not much we can do about the air outside. However, by having air purification systems in our homes, we can greatly improve the quality of our life.

The second key is sunlight. Sunlight provides us with many benefits, including vitamin D which is absolutely essential for strong bones in our old age and good health. Too much sunlight can be dangerous, but it is important to get at least some sunlight each day.

The third key is moderation. It is important, especially with the foods that we eat, to do things in moderation. Too much of anything, even vitamins, can be bad or even toxic. So it is important to be moderate in all things that we do; exercise, eating, and so on.

The fourth key is rest. Our bodies can't go on indefinitely without it. We need a certain amount of rest each day. Getting too much sleep, is actually bad for you, but you should get at least 6 or 7 hours a night and if needed, a nap during the day.

The fifth key is exercise. We should get at least 30 minutes to an hour of exercise each day. Lack of exercise is the cause of so many health problems. Failure to exercise leads to obesity, poor circulation, heart problems and so on. It is critical that we get a sufficient amount of exercise each day.

The sixth key is the food we eat. I can't stress this enough. Garbage in, garbage out. Living on hamburgers, fried food, sweets and soft drinks is a ticket to an early grave. It is a must that we eat a balanced diet of fruits, vegetables and lean meats such as turkey and chicken. A good diet is the best means of preventing serious health problems.

The seventh key is water. Our bodies are made up mostly of water. So it is important that we get plenty of water in our diet in order to stay healthy. It is advised that we drink at least 8 glasses of water each day. Also, avoid coffee, tea and soft drinks.

The eighth key is avoiding stress. Stress is a killer, plain and simple. I know it's not easy to do, but it is important that we stay calm at all times and deal with the things in our life in a relaxed and calm manner. This is something most people need to work at, but conquering stress is critical to good health.

By following these 8 keys to good health, you should find that your health will improve greatly over time.
