The rivalry between the SmackDown monsters has grown in intensity in recent months, and reached a boiling point at WrestleMania when the Deadman captured the Animal's gold and extended his undefeated streak to 15-0.
Batista has always made it clear that the World Heavyweight Championship is what drives him to excel in WWE, and at Backlash, he will do whatever it takes to reclaim his title. Undertaker, in his first reign as World Heavyweight Champion has made it clear that he has no intentions of surrendering his title any time soon. At Backlash, something will give when two of the most dominant competitors in sports-entertainment collide in a match so brutal that only one man will walk away.

Well no one really WON this match but since Undertaker retained the title,so Undertaker wud be considered as the winner since he is the man walking out of the arena with the World Heavyweight Championship...!!!!
