ok suppose you run out of data limit on your net connection, u gotta use dial up.........

but if that dial up connection is free?

(ofcourse I am not 100% sure, so if somehow your monthly bill swells up then u know who is to blame )




requirements:

1)Nokia mobile with modem .ex-N70,6630,6230,6600,etc

2)Win XP sp2 (preferred)

3)Bluetooth dongle(preferred)

4)B$NL or ARTEL only!!!!!!!!!!!

5)for both b$nl and artel you should hve activated the free wap portal service called "portal" on B$NL and "artel live" on artel............

6)mozilla preferred

1)Pair up your nokia phone with ur pc/lappy using the bluetooth dongle.
control panel>bluetooth devices>add new


2)goto "network connection". create a new network connection using these settings:

phone no *99***1#

user name: blank
passwo: blank

modem to be used should be the bluetooth modem
com port should be correct as mentioned in the properties of "bluetooth device"

3)now connect using the above connection

4)in mozilla go o connection settings.
choose "use a proxy server"
proxy address for b$nl 192.168.081.163
port 8080

for artel

proxy address 100.1.200.99
port 8080


5) restart mozilla

6)now try to access any site like "www.google.com"

7)you will recieve an error message "access denied"

8)now on your phone, try to open any site like "www.rediff.com"

9) that's it, now u can open any site on mozilla....(if not refresh once)

speeds are ur usual 25-40 kbps......
but unfortunately I do not think big downloads are supported because of limitations of proxy server!

If this is not workin, then install pc suite and then conncet the internet through that and then follow frm step 4.............

actually i have seen people say it does work.
Now the question is is there a way to check the usage in between(i mean the bill) just in case its being charged

It does work 100%!!! I am writing this reply frm that connection only! that through b$nl!

but at this time it is a bit slow 20 kbps..........


it will be fine at night time...
