Re: iPhone in India by Vodafone
I have used an I-phone , its a different class of mobile altogether. The experience of using an I-phone is just mind blowing. Its worth spending 20k on it imo but 36k ?? No Thanks.
Also what people are missing is the plan that one is forced to take upon the purchase of an I-phone. Just have a look at the ridiculous plans that vodafone is offering : Vodafone-iPhone
An I-phone 2g is easily available in grey market for around 20k , if you must have an I-phone , I would suggest buying the 2g version instead.

Useless phone
I am going for HTC now.
They have taken the header ad slot in today's TOI. 36k for a phone is foolishness

Re: iPhone in India by Vodafone
^ I will wait for some more time. I am pretty sure the prices will be brought down soon. Have used HTC touch, and it's really good, it comes with Windows Mobile 6, and very stylish as well. But wanna use iPhone before i decide to buy any

Re: iPhone in India by Vodafone/airtel
Just got a message from airtel
They have revised the surfing plans for iphone.
For 1 year, every month airtel is offering 500mb of bandwidth free on iphone 3g
Well thast a start and they will have to do a lot more if they expect any major sales for iphone.

Only 500 MB? I heard they were planning to offer 1 GB free downloads. Not sure Vodafone or Airtel. Considering that the iPhone doesn't have bluetooth, u need to bank on itunes for songs, 500 MB will not at all be sufficient
