Why do girls always fall for the wrong guy? Their mothers warn them about him. Their friends shake their heads disapprovingly. Their minds tell them to escape while the going is good. But no! oh no! Their hearts are another story. You see, they are sending all the wrong signals. His name alone is enough to scramble their brains and set their hearts racing. Meet Raj. He is the stuff of dreams, with the looks of a 'butter wouldn't melt in my mouth' good boy. Who can blame him for falling in love as many times as love is fortunate enough to find him. It's not his fault that he's a heartbreaker, it's in his DNA. Come discover his three love stories; Raj and Mahi, Raj and Radhika, Raj and Gayatri.
Different ladyloves at different times in his life. And each of them, teach him a little bit about love and a little bit about life, in their own sweet, sexy or sassy way. Movie Trailer Movie Details and Plot:
The movie starts with a guy going back to his flashback and taking us to Switzerland where he had fallen in love for the first time (with Minnisha Lamba).
2nd story takes place in 2002, with Bipasha Basu. The guy is shown working for Microsoft’s gaming section. Okay, now here the guy looks younger whereas Bipasha looks older. It is a kind of mismatch but here, there are few comedy scenes and the performance looks much real. Especially, Bipasha has really done a wonderful job.
Now, year 2007, the guy is in Sydney where he meets Deepika Padukone. There is indeed some kind of spark between Ranbir and Deepika. Maybe being a real life couple has helped them to showcase a beautiful chemistry on the celluloid. Deepika certainly has done justice with her character.
The first affair comes as the director’s tribute to Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge where Raj (Ranbir Kapoor) encounters Mahi (Minissha) in Switzerland; they miss their train to Zurich and ride on a two-wheeler across the Swiss Alps. The second episode is a version of director Siddharth Anand’s very own Salaam Namaste where Raj, working in Mumbai, is in a live-in relationship with a raunchy Ranchi girl Radhika (Bipasha Basu) but is not ready for a commitment. Despite all his efforts, when their relationship doesn’t break out, Raj escapes to Australia. The third liaison takes the Victoria No 203 path when Raj falls for an Aussie cabbie Gayatri (Deepika Padukone) but this time the girl isn’t interested.
Gayatri’s rejection makes Raj ruminate on his callous romantic involvements of the past. Seized by guilt pangs, he sets on a mission to trace his ex-flames and seek forgiveness from them. Mahi is now married to Joginder (Kunal Kapoor) but isn’t passionately inclined towards her husband despite a decade-old marriage. Wonder where their two kids came from!!! Raj revives DDLJ again by barging into their family wedding, dancing on a bhangra number and reuniting the couple thereby doing an SRK. The second girl Radhika is now starlet Shriya who makes Raj slog as a slave and you only thank good god that the female domination here doesn’t end up into another Ugly aur Pagli Professional Reviews Bachna Ae Haseeno : Movie Review by Taran Adarsh Originally Posted by 2.5 stars Directorially, Siddharth Raj Anand offers stunning visuals and some really fine performances, but is letdown by the script. Vishal-Shekhar's music is just alright, nothing to rave or rant about. Barring 'Khuda Jaane' and 'Lucky Boy', the remaining songs don't have a lingering effect. Cinematography is a class apart. Besides, the cinematographer gets some spectacular locales and he does complete justice to it. Dialogues are good at times.
Ranbir Kapoor is marvellous. An incredible actor. One will run out of adjectives and personifications describing his performance. Amongst girls, Bipasha Basu stands the tallest. First RACE and now BACHNA AE HASEENO, the actress is finally getting the right roles that do justice to her talent. Also, she looks fab! Minissha doesn't work at the start, but scores in the emotional scenes, especially in the second hour. Deepika is a sore point. Her role isn't convincing and that's the reason why this performance doesn't work. The only consolation is, she looks gorgeous.
Kunal Kapoor is supremely efficient, handling his role with utmost maturity. Hiten Paintal is a revelation, a talent to watch out for. His camaraderie with Ranbir is top notch.
On the whole, BACHNA AE HASEENO has an interesting first half, but a weak second hour spoils the show. At the box-office, thanks to the hype built around the film, the opening weekend should be great, but beyond that, has tough chances of sustaining. Multiplexes at some big centres would be better, but that's no consolation. Bachna Ae Haseeno- Bollywood-Reviews-Indiatimes - Movies Originally Posted by 2 stars

Throughout, the direction lacks consistency and plausibility, and leaves questions dangling. Who, what or where is Raj’s mum you hear on a phone? How loaded is he.. because in a Delhi hotel he stays on a discount plan? And what’s with the female taxi driver’s fetish for cabs? She wants to drive them for the rest of her life, instead of becoming a wife. Weird.
As it turns out, the overseas locations are the chief attractions. Vishal-Shekhar’s music is comme ci comme ca. The dialogue is forgettable.
Of the cast, Deepika Padukone is a sight for sore eyes. She’s eminently camera friendly. Ranbir Kapoor has to carry the weight of the project on his shoulders which he does gamely.
He has a marvellous screen presence and performs every scene with that difficult combination of spontaneity and intelligence. Movie Wallpapers Bachna Ae Haseeno New Wallpapers ---------------------------------------------- |
