Story: it is a prequel to company and tells how "malik" became what he was in frst frames of comapany...
The movie starts when the deshu(hooda) returns to mumbai frm dubai fr his mother's death... he witnesses a killing and manages to keep his mouth shut before the police.. then he joins a gang and single handedly kills the rival gang leader; then he slowly works fr the company and becomes the star of the gang.
This fact is resented by the don's two sons sushant and yashpal sharma. the rest of the movie is abt the rivalary between them.
Every film has a trump card and for "d" It has to be Randeep Hooda.
This lad is a future star and is easily the best newcomer in 2005.(although his frst mov was monsoon wedding). he looks cool,has a voice that reminds u of young AB, and smiles twice in the movie...... honestly even if u do not like the movie u have to applaud fr hooda.
chunkey pandey is in the film what vivek oberoi was in company.but chunkey even though very good cannot match upto oberoi...
Rukhsar looks very good but somehow reminds me of monica bedi ;;;
another thing is the great background score and cinematography which is the hallmark of all the RGV flicks.
goto have a pepsi when chunkey pandey sings a grossly irritating song with isha koppikar; a big blemish on otherwise fine film...
of all three releases this week I honestly feel "D" has to be the best watch. Hose or house of wax and "ring 2" are just junk.....
"D" is not "company" or "satya", but still it is very good.and I tell u Deshu is as good as malik if not better. go and watch it.
i would give it 4/5.
