All is ok but film's down survive on Music alone This is now the 2nd Mega Flop that ABjr has delivered Actually barring Guru (you can't call Sarkar his success) he has hardly delivered a hit.

Great movie i would say 7/10 from me as well. The movie introduces you to the pot-pourri that is Delhi 6. The slick editing in the first half hour of the movie which introduces Roshan (AB Jr) to the sights and sounds and culture of Delhi is done superbly. If one had to show foreign visitors in 30 minutes what Chandni Chowk and Old Delhi was about then the first 30 minutes or so of the movie would serve as the ideal 101 guide.

Most people would be confused with the movie since people have come to expect movies to be centred around a certain protagonist and his life. However Delhi 6 is not just about Roshan and his experiences but the people of Chandni Chowk and their lives. What binds them ? what makes them tick ? And most importantly what the whole essence of living there that makes them (and us Indians) so different from other people.

Editing was good with songs not taking up too much time. Clips from the Ram Leela have been cleverly inter-spliced with the on-goings in the movie. The climax seemed stifled mainly because in my opinion the director choose to be politically correct rather than being adventurous like in RDB. I can't blame the director for his vision there. The songs are great with Masakali and Bhor Bhaye being one the best compositions. Scenes worth taking home are Roshan experiencing the traffic jam and enjoying it for the first time. Jaigpopal and the hindu brigade ransacking an old muslim friend's jalebi shop. A few scenes from the climax though revealing them would ruin the movie for everyeon. All in all a very under-rated movie !

This is what i am saying, it didnt clicked with any of us. before it affects you staying in INDIA itself, it shud connect with the People residing outside India, here in the Theatre itself, people were leaving the theatre before credits. The convincing part IMO failed, bcoz there was no followup, only few scenes depicting they are close and following scenes didnt even mentioned their closeness. everything was haphazardly done.
the screenplay was never in place IMO, ROM was writing the story while directing, i suppose.
Anyways to each of his own. enjoy the movies wellas. just add your comments after you see the movie

Didn't you hear Roshan's self confessions ? He was going on and on all the while why "WE" tick As for some people leaving the threatre early well it's cause they expected the same sort of a whopping climax as RDB. Bollywood followers want and love masala endings to all films . Their closeness was very much evident from the scene where Roshan and his grandma return on the trike back to their ancestral homes. As for the script well it was not written by Rakesh but the same writer as RDB, and it had soul and Rakesh has managed to translate it well on-screen.

All the while Roshan's characters acts as an inside-out view of the whole diaspora, commenting on our stupid rituals, ways, adoring the love from the community and finally acting as the catalyst to end the discord. (This isn't a spoiler mind you i haven't given anything away.)

Edit: It would an a$$ like Taran Adarsh eons to get the story telling technique and the director's vision. Same is the case with Dev D. Taran lacks any cinematic knowledge whatsoever to understand the movie.

Its not bad, far from it. Much better then Dostana. The music is awesome, cinematography brilliant and some solid performances specially from divya dutta and Vijay raaz. Yes, the climax is fcuked up but its still a very entertaining movie. Various scenes throughout the movie are sure to bring a smile to your face. A Delhite will most likely enjoy the movie. Definitely worth a watch.
