Gay!!! Is the “in thing” in Bollywood currently, every movie director includes this track in their movie for comic values, few uses it correctly and this Director fails to utilize the opportunity it got to tackle the issue with Gay, it was used as a tool to get an apartment, I now pronounce you Chuck & Larry (Adam Sandler) anyone?? Well the setup was good, but slowly I felt that the Director lost us, whether they are friends or in love with each other or enemies. Anyways you know the story right? if not read it in Box-Office Section

The movie took off pretty well with Shilpa doing her number & John flashing his bossoms

AB & John didn’t quite feel as if they were really friends, as AB was overdoing the GAY thing in many sequences, but it was hilarious. Also I totally agree with that Rediff review Safin posted, that the Neal n Nikki was better clothed than this, as it was full on cleavage show in this movie, even the oldies like Kiron Kher & Dadi maa of Golmaal (karamchand’s asst.) were not spared. Priyanka Chopra was more like Wonderwoman, in that Bikini scene  I dunno why does she has to wear such short clothes in office too, it was literally Neal n Nikki Part 2, where it was AB & John instead of Uday Chopra who was looking like a Gay in the whole movie

Boman Irani & Kiron Kher were wasted in this movie. Also the surprise package was Bobby Deol, if you have watched the movie, you will notice traces of gayness in him  I dunno why Mr. Tarun chose Bobby Darling….ooops Bobby Deol, there are many other good actors in this industry, whereas Priyanka falls head over heels for him even after a heated argument with him.

There was a lack of Dostana between the three of them, which was the down point. At one point of time they are having fun & suddenly they feel that they are the best friends in this world & exactly after that scene AB & John are shown to fall in love with Priyanka, means you can’t get so confused with friendship & love??? One more thing this movie proves that Priyanka can’t act. See the climax of the movie & you’ll see her eyes full of glycerine. She was just the glam doll used to wear a bikini & loads of skin show, but I don’t mind with that, I love skin show, only of girls that is

John & AB were ok in this movie, but I guess Ash has a serious problem on her hand, if AB is gonna act like that @ home too

The songs are already hit in the clubs, but the picturization was not upto the mark of the songs. Only song I liked was “Desi Girl”, which was quite decent & well choreographed. “Khabar Nahi” was another song where I felt the lack of chemistry glowed more, but the song is beautiful.

The Direction is good & he can work better towards the script & screenplay. There were many unnecessary tracks in the movie, which shud’ve been rectified.
All in all it was good movie with good fun value. A one time watch movie, you can watch it on your personal screens too, you’re gonna miss only Ms. Chopra

Also I hated the ending very much, which started with the line “yeh aakashwani hai, aapka beta GAY hai” I mean WTH were they thinking & use of WTF in the background music in start and to spoil your surprise, Priyanka goes with Bobby Deol in the end

I totally disagree with your review except for the part where it says that it was an average movie and they could have found someone better then Bobby Deol.

Anyways imo , Kiron kher was excellent. The scenes involving her were the funniest. The scene where she first finds out about the whole Gay thing was hilarious. Boman Irani could have been used more effectively but he was good nonetheless. So far I have seen him in Macho types of roles, watching him act as gay was refreshing.

I couldn't have disagreed more with you on the part where you said that Priyanka cannot act. Well I don't think she has anything to prove. She was brilliant in "Fashion" and did equally good in this movie. Not to forget she was looking stunning. AB was superb too. His comic timing was excellent. John was a letdown as he has the capability to act much better but I guess it was not really his fault as AB was given more exposure.

The movie was really good till the interval. But the moment Bobby deol stepped in , everything got boring. Its a real drag post interval.

You cannot compare Dostana to Chuck and larry ( which btw is also a very very average movie ) as there is really nothing in common. Taran Adarsh has seriously overarted this one.

If you gotta watch a movie at a theater, watch Dasvidaniya instead.

interesting take , but my friend u fuhget priyanka was hvg very less dialogues than both john & AB, why bcos she cant deliver a dialogue widout hamming & dats wat she did in fashion too

regarding comparing wid chuck & larry was dat its central idea was based on the same. just here dat gay bobby was added

I really liked the movie.Now before you guys(or gals ) start screaming this is not a movie to do research on. No senti stuff (okay there is a bit towards the end but then Karan Johar cannot do without that).
This is pure and simple fun.It helps that there is Priyanka and I personally feel her legs to be the best part of the movie.

The gals would like John's ass
