Quantum of Solace

I will keep this short and sweet.
Over the years, I have become quite a fan of bond movies and when I heard a new one was round the corner I was all excited!
So finally I watched it and unexpectedly came out disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the action is right up there along with the other bond movies especially the one right in the beginning.
The screenplay and the direction are good, but just a little too fast to figure out how and why whatever happened happened! The story on the other hand is half revenge and half a bad guy trying to suck out one country. Sadly, the bad guy doesn't look and feel and talk like a bad guy which is quite disappointing. Bond's girlfriend (Vespar aka Eva Green) from Casino Royale betrayed him and he is set to take revenge against the people who she worked for. Second part of the story involves, a Mr Green trying to coerce the Bolivian Government in giving him the rights to a barren patch of land apparently to dig out oil.
The story is very thin and doesn't have enough substance or meat to it. There is hardly any depth but then again its a bond movie and its not always about a story here. The story isn't gripping at all, and many things in the film just do not fit together, like they were part of a different jigsaw puzzle.
Overall, the has good action, lots of chases, some twists and turns in the story but is watchable nonetheless.

Err maybe tell a bit of story also

Why was the movie release a week earlier in India?

i saw it y'day. Would rate it 6/10. I dozed off for few seconds as well

Casino Royale was a lot better imo.

Interesting... The film comes out in Australia 19th November, and I'll probably go sometime in its 2nd week...

So, based on your review, are you saying it's more a movie for the small screen, (special effects aside)

Quantum of Solace (2008)

Just returned from the movie.
Olga She is simply superb. Hot
Movie is full of action and is very fast paced. For someone who enjoys action, this is it. But the gadgets lovers wouldn't find anything in the movie . There isn't much of a story for story lovers , it is bond and bond-girl all the way

The movie ends with a lot of loose ends, I suspect another bond movie coming up which would be another sequel to this one . I wouldn't mind more of Olga
