please dont mind the single page review,
Kung Fu Panda opens with scene that pays tribute to the classic western "For a few dollars more" .
The hero ie the Panda refuses to fight when he is eating, and his mouth is full.
This whacky moment readies you for what may be the summer hit of 2008.
There is no twist in the story , so I guess the plot can be revealed.
Poo is an overweight Panda who works in a noodle soup(

) shop with his dad (strangely a cock

)
He is fat , grossly unfit and yet loves Kungfu. Strangely he is the one destined to become the "dragon warrior" and defeat the mighty "Tai lung".
Poo is not accepted well by "shifu" , the Kungfu master, and his five proteges "the five"
yet you kindda know what happens next.....
God,It is so long since I had seen a good animated movie , and Kungfu Panda came just in time.....
The storyline is pretty simple, fusion of "karate kid" and "forbidden kingdom".
It's the animation and dialogues that take the film to a new level.
Dreamworks gave us perhaps the best animated movie ever in "Shrek".
Where KF Panda loses in humour to it's illustrious predecessor,It makes up in action animation department.
Watching the famous five perform, esp the tigress is just great. Though the climax fight is a bit of letdown...
Scenes to watch out for:
1) The scene in the starting, where the tortoise (oogway) calls shifu (or chifu) to tell him about the impending escape of the villain "Tai lung"
2) The fight scene between Panda and shifu for the last left momo (or dumpling

)
3) the fight on the bridge between "the five " and Tailung.
What chiefly works for the movie is The chracters and dialogues.And Oh that voice!
Jack Black lends his wonderful voice for Poo, the panda. And you can actually see a smirk on his face , when he comes with a witty rebuttal.
Watch the movie in a theater. If you miss it, you may actually regret it.
p.s. : Can anyone tell me how dreamworks decide the type and no. of animals in the movie....???
and why there were so many pigs in the final scene ?
