Synopsis
In the tradition of film noir that is guaranteed to shock, thrill and surprise. A compelling film from director Hansal Mehta about swiftly changing moralities in today’s world. After a successful businessman’s stunning wife disappears, hostile and taunting ransom demands follow. As the true nature of stakes for the captor and his captives unfold, Woodstock Villa lithely transforms from a precision neo noir into a chilling and shocking thriller, and ultimately into a vivid, invigorating, icy masterpiece of murder, mystery and suspense. Neither pleading eyes nor bound wrists nor a shallow grave are what they seem, as a moment of relief is suddenly transformed into a web of deceit, and a moment of truth is followed by a sudden web of lies. Unsettling, thrilling, hallucinatory, suspenseful and erotic, Woodstock Villa is contemporary entertainment that breaks new ground with every twist.
The real Story
What you read above in the synopsis is what the film producers released. To read what the film really is hit the spoiler tag.
To call it a thriller is a disgrace. There is no "thrill" in the movie. Not even once was there anything like suspense. Neha sure doesn't disappoint and you will see lots of her song sequence and scenes but you ain't gonna find anything like the promo

The acting is bad all around as is the script, screenplay and direction.

Gulshan Grovers "tonic"

(the so called word for beating up the hero) is laugable and it seems it exists for no reason at all in the movie. A fool with no experience in crime becomes an expert kidnapper and then the even foolish police guys who keep cracking crap jokes tell you no one was serious making this movie

I would still have given at an average rating but for the crap camera angles due to which my head is still spinning. Better watch the movie songs on TV if you wanna watch Neha, but give the movie a pass. Its BAD.

Flash slapdash, zappy zowie cuts, burn-outs, bleaches, jerky Jimmy jib jives, crane-pain, split screens and more techno-tricks are on display in Woodstock Villa. Directed by Hansal Mehta, this purported noir thriller is a killer waste of your time and physical tolerance. Ouch phir jeene ki tamanna hai?

Neha Uberoi is another talented actor. Oh yes, she looks alluring, but beneath that attractive face lies a gifted actor. Another newcomer with potential! Arbaaz Khan is alright. Sachin Khedekar and Dayashanker Pandey are wasted. Shakti Kapoor is passable.
On the whole, WOODSTOCK VILLA has decent merits and holds appeal for those with an appetite for hardcore thrillers. But its release has coincided with the climax of the IPL matches and that would really hit the business of this film hard.
^^Taran has gone mad..
