In the end I would say, the concept of a Member's Representative is a Novel idea but it is asking too much from a single member. The things that I as a MR promised to you should be accomplished by the whole staff team.

1) Mine is not a table job like you think.

2) It was service, which you came forward to offer and made people trust in your promises

3) If you knew that your career was on the line why contest in the first place?
