I never set out to be mean . I never decide spontaneous and thtas the fun of it.

Are you shooting for Simon cowell[of American Idol]
I don’t watch American Idol but i’ve seen Cowell and I think he rocks. Having said that , it doesnt mean he’s an influence for me at all.American Idol is a talent hunt. In Roadies Im not looking for talent. I have to put pressure on them. Every boxer has a plan until his opponent lands the first punch.

What will Rajiv bring to the show?
I really don’t know.I’m looking forward to it, though. All i know is lime me, he never pretends.

Lots of other ‘mean’shows on TV -wt do you think of them?
I don’t watch them and i have heard and read about them. Imitation is at best, a form of flattery. The show is made by the personality of the makers. If people were able to make a show like Roadies, they would have made it by now.

Taking the show to Australia.. aren’t you compromising it’s Indian flavour?
I don’t think so. We carry Indian with us wherever we go. Being Indian is great but i want to see Indian in different cultures and topography.

I’ve started writing song. I wrote just for a film. I play guitar and have a lot of musician friendsI jam with .I travel . I read a lot.

Life in Delhi..
I was born and brought up here. I went to Deshbandhu college for one year;then i went to Veny and then I dropped out.

Why?
Because Rajiv flunked

What does Delhi bring to the show?
Delhi is my favourite, the maximium no. of contestants come from here. People here makes intresting personalities, they come with lot of attitude.

Are you a biker yourself?
Not as much as i would like to be.I had a bike but I gave it up.Mumbai isn’t a biker friendly city considering the climate.

This interview came in delhi times a week ago. Would be interesting to see Rajiv this time but I am sure gonna miss Nikhil. He at times overshadowed Raghu.
