Police Place Restraining Order On Father/Coach

MELBOURNE, Australia -- A Ukranian swim coach has been banned from making any contact with his daughter after TV cameras captured him assaulting the swimmer at the world championships in Australia.

Television footage shows the man repeatedly punching and shoving his swimmer daughter after she did not qualify for the finals in her event.


The video ends with the man trying to embrace his daughter, but she shrugs him off. The two then move out of sight of the camera.


Australian police have placed a restraining order on the father, who was also stripped of his accreditation by the swimming governing body.


The woman did not require any medical treatment
