I honestly dont care....

There are better ways to spend crores of rupees...

better ways how?? spend on curing the perennial bangaluru traffic?? go tell that to those politicians in karnataka!!!

i think it really does make a lot of impact when such games are held here...when the first commonwealth games were held in delhi in the late 70's , it had literally transformed the capital into a true metropolis...that can happen again.. its upto the mgmt to proove it...
and not unless the indian govt has to proove anythnig would it do anything !!! so they better make it a grand event , esp since its on the intl level!

commonwealth games have never been held in Delhi .... lol... you must be referring to the Asian games of 1982 (remember Appu ? )

And I am not saying that the games will have only a negative effect.... of course, it will have benefits like better roads, infrastructure, etc....etc...

But how much of the infrastructure will be used after the games?? I have seen 2 very good stadiums in Bangalore built for 1997 National games go to waste. One of them was used to keep Rajkumar's body and all the thousands of people coming totally ruined the synthetic surface.

And there was an international meet just a few days later.....

I wonder if the same thing will happen to Delhi's new stadia and everything....

Well i am from delhi... and so far i havent seen anything that would show that crores of rupees are being spent anywhere... its only on papers...

That is coz this is India ..... The initial crores of rupees are eaten up by the farking politicians and beauracrats....

Then when they have had their fill, they start working on the real project...

haaan ya.. asian games.... but you could def see some development....

man i think they should go modular... piece by piece... so there is no wastage of space or land and material .. .lol.. dream on.
