Indian Ace Tennis Duo, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi lose their match against Wang & Lu by 2/6 and 3/6.

After the game Paes has questioned the commitment of Mahesh to the team and country.

He says Bhupathi did not commit 100% to the game and was playing well under par.

He also added that Bhupathi should Introspect and reflect on his so called injuries.

Basically, he is saying Mahesh is faking injuries and is not really interested in representing India at world stage atleast when it comes to partnering with Leander.

Even the Coach has taken sides and is supporting Leander's claim.

Now i know, why sports in our country is heading no where

As a professional you are supposed to give your 100% every game, such sportsmen are a disgrace and are better left out. Shocking to say the least. This Paes/Bhupathi battle is tearing our Indian Tennis to shreds.

Update:

AITA has put its foot down and asked Paes & Bhupathi to play together for the next Mens double game.

They are going to smoke the peace pot under duress, a forced marriage which at least should last till the end of Asian Games.

this is damn shamefull for india and its sports field. India lost to chinese taipei, while we are being called powerhouse after thailand.

i think mahesh wanted to take revenge on leander as he was not selected to partner with saniya.

that means india is loosing a sure shot on mens doubles gold. :sad:

Such behavior does not bode well for Indian Sports.

After doping scandals this is the next worst thing to do in any sports event.

What has Indian tennis given Bhupathi ?? They sidelined him recently (partnering with Sania at some meet or something) and all that....

It is natural for him to feel cheated and disgusted......

You don't play and give your 50% to make sure that you lose. That's akin to selling out your team mates / selling out to bookies / cheating / completely unethical / un-sportsmanship like conduct / finally you are selling out your country.

He has not lost anything, its the country which suffers from such incidents.

Wow...I guess people believe these rumours as the Indian express duo are head and shoulders above all Asian tennis double teams. You would think they would win every match in straight sets n romp to take the gold....
Chinese taipei would have gone bonkers beating the grandslam champion doubles team in straight sets...Having said that they are not what they used to be...Also they seem to play well with foreign players these days....

this paes and bhupati feud has been raging since many years now...this was soon expected

you know, these two guys should be given a kick on the back side.

at one time these fellows were the next woodies. They were unbeatable on doubles circuit. Cos of their ego and what not, they destroyed that hope. McEnroe had saidd they will carry Indian tennis and start a tennis domination by India in professional mens tennis, well see where it is now
Had they remained we would have seen the new woodies, they would have won lots more titles, more people would have taken up tennis and they would have been big stars.

But that is "they". Both wanted "I" to be the star and now both are fools.
Why look at them, look at sania mirza even, after a good show, she got so much of popularity that it got to her.
