^ Good to hear - looks like it was unexpected

it was not fully unexpected, as India were the defending champions.

It is known that after P. T. Usha and Shiny Wilson we do not have any single athlete who can put track on fire. But the better part is that we do have a pool of runners in Womens section who may not be the best but collectively they are producing results at Asian Games, while other countries have one or two athletes who are strong but not all 4 are good enough.

Yesterday during the race China was leading for the better part of the race, during the last leg our runner blasted past chinese and also not allowed uzbeks to catch up. It was really a spirited performance.

India will be vying or Three gold medals in Tennis in Womens singles, Mixed doubles, Mens Doubles.

India is in hunt for medals in Sailing competition.
