Our great sports hero Vishy Anand has regained his sparkling form and has continued his lead gained from Morelia leg of this prestigious Super GM tournament.

Morelia - Linares tournament is a very prominent fixture in FIDE calender and it carries a prestigious glory tag with it.

Vishy Anand has won it once in past. But he has not been able to roll over this tournament like he has done in some others.

Kasparov has left a strong impression over this tournament.

Right now after round 10, Vishy is leading with 6.5 / 10 points.

Vishy Anand Wins Morelia / Linares Super GM tournament 2007

Vishwanathan anand drew with V. Ivanchuk the last round while Carlsen and Svidler lost their matches.

In the end Anand won the tournament with one full point.
The final standings :

Anand showed the performance upto rating of 2816, while Topalov was disastrous at 2691. This makes sure Anand Climbs to the ratings list on 1st of april ratings list if FIDE include Morelia/Linares tournament.

Magnus Carlsen is just 16 years old bt faught with guts with big boys of chess and showed incredible talent with performance eauivalent of 2776 ratings. He really was the find of the tournament.
